Maggie's Fashion Show
October 8, 2011
Some of you may have seen me working on several knitted items for Maggie in the months leading up to her birth. Today we had a fashion show of those pieces -- some of which are pretty silly, I admit!

These are the socks that I made while I was at General Synod. They were supposed to be for Irene, but ended up being much too small. They also have VERY pointy toes (for those who knit, I did the toe decrease without adding a plain knit row in between the decreases -- oops!), so I put a pom pom on each toe, which now that I see them on, only adds to the silliness. But they are cute!

Another sock picture, this time with a kiss from Irene!

A purple sweater and booties that I knit at Synod and finished at home. I put the sweater through the wash (and in the dryer), which was a bad idea as it sort of shrunk and also got fuzzy. The booties were saved from that fate, but have problems of their own (namely that they don't match and are pretty awful-looking).

The kimono sweater I was working on -- made out of the same yarn you use for washclothes! It looked like an oddly-shaped towel when I was working on it, but I think it came together nicely. This is probably the item I am most proud of out of all my projects for Maggie!
